Discovery 4H at JLCCS offers lots of opportunities for our students. In 4‑H, our students complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance.

Our students did an incredible job representing JLCCS at the Diocesan Spelling Bee!

These boys discussed respect for authority at their last Blue Knights meeting. Afterwards they played Simon Peter Says and then focused on the lives of St. Boniface and St. Thomas More. Later this month, the Blue Knights will receive their shield, cape, and patches at a ceremony.

Special thanks to Mayor Don Denbow for coming to James L. Collins Catholic School on Monday morning to make a proclamation about National Catholic Schools Week! Afterwards our school came together and prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Stay warm today! At our last Star Wars Club meeting, our students made themed snowflakes and built starships with legos and magnetic tiles.

Our kindergarten and 1st grade students were able to volunteer at the Corsicana Public Library on Monday and help clean. We love being able to serve our community!

Congratulations to these amazing JLCCS artists who competed and won in the Knights of Columbus Keep Christ in Christmas art contest. Their artwork will go on to compete at the district level. Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus #5211 Council.

“Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor… Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.”- Saint Teresa of Calcutta

Our flag football club loved getting in an extra practice before the Christmas break. These students are ready to get back on the field!

At our last US Military History Club meeting our students engaged in battling via strategic games. They played Battleship, Risk, War, and Stratego. These students love learning outside of the classroom through the variety of clubs, academic competitions, and athletic competitions we offer.

Guitar Club Fun!

Wands are at the ready at our Harry Potter's Club meetings!

We are kicking off the New Year celebrating our students! Here are some photos from our Little Flowers Girls' Club ceremony that was hosted earlier this month. The members received their sashes and petals for the various virtues they worked on in the fall - joy, mercy, generosity, and courage. After their ceremony, they presented Father Juan Carlos at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with a spiritual bouquet that was filled with all of their prayers for him.

It's cookie decorating time at Art Club!

Our kids loved making ornaments at our last Pokemon Club meeting!
