After successfully replacing all of the windows in our middle school hallway this past summer, we are grateful to have received this grant over the Christmas holiday, and are thrilled to continue this work as we move forward with the second phase of the project.

Our Cheer Club was hard at work during practice, learning new cheers, building teamwork, and gearing up to bring the energy for our upcoming basketball season! The excitement, school spirit, and dedication they bring each week is already shining through.

We can’t wait to see them cheering on our teams and helping make this basketball season one to remember. Go Bears!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to JAAY Concrete for replacing the sidewalks at the front of our school. This improvement not only enhances the safety of our campus but also greatly improves the welcoming appearance of our school entrance.

A huge thank you to Chick-fil-A Corsicana for so graciously hosting our 3:16 Show Choir and our Shining Light Singers (1st Grade Choir) as they shared the joy of Christmas through song!

Our students had such a wonderful time performing their Christmas carols and then enjoyed an amazing lunch afterward. The smiles, music, and warm hospitality made this a truly special experience for our singers.

We are so grateful to Chick-fil-A for their support of our students and for helping make these moments one they will always remember!

We had such a wonderful time joining our community for the Parade of Lights tonight! Our students loved riding on our It’s a Wonderful Life–themed float, sharing Christmas joy and school spirit along the route. A special thank-you to our amazing Cheer Club for coordinating our float and helping bring this classic Christmas theme to life. Your hard work and energy made the night truly magical! We are so grateful for every student, family, and supporter who helped make this event shine.

We are so grateful for the generosity of our school community! Through this year’s annual Turkey Trot event, our students, families, and supporters helped raise $1,400! These funds were donated today to the Navarro County Welfare Board to provide Christmas gifts for children in foster care. 🎄🎁 Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, cheered, and made this tradition so meaningful. Your kindness brings joy, hope, and the spirit of giving to children who truly need it this Christmas season. 💛✨

We are proud to share that Mrs. Miriam Alvarado was honored with the Work of Heart Award from The Catholic Foundation this morning during our All-School Mass! This award celebrates Catholic school employees who go above and beyond in their service, dedication, and love for students—and Mrs. Alvarado represents that so beautifully. Her joyful spirit, unwavering support for our families, and genuine care for our students bring light to our school each day. JLCCS families - don’t forget about our Tip Top Holiday Shop that opens on Monday. Students were given envelopes to bring home on Friday and they are welcome to come shop the store this week to get holiday gifts for any friends or family members. This event is sponsored by PTC.

Congratulations to the Cooking Cowgirls for bringing home 1st place in the Junior division—what an incredible accomplishment!

Huge shout-out to the InstaCooks, earning 3rd place in the Intermediate division, showcasing teamwork, creativity, and skill.

And we are thrilled to celebrate Ava, who placed 3rd in Intermediate Food Show with her delicious dish—way to shine!
