Our second grade class had the best time at the Cameron Park Zoo.

Our students have been working hard to strengthen their math skills through Reflex Math! This engaging program helps them build speed and confidence with math facts through fun, interactive games. We’re so proud of their dedication and excited to see their progress as they master essential math skills that build a strong foundation for future learning! Mrs. Powers gave out free jean day dress coupons for students who had over 60% mastery.

Congratulations to our 4-H Food Challenge and Food Show participants! They did an amazing job at our county competition.

On November 1st, we celebrate All Saints’ Day, a joyful feast honoring all the holy men and women—known and unknown—who have gone before us and now live in the glory of God’s presence. This day reminds us that sainthood is a call for everyone; we are all invited to live lives of holiness, love, and service. May the example of the saints inspire us to walk faithfully with Christ each day.

Students at James L. Collins Catholic School collected over 400 items for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church’s holiday food baskets to help families in need.

We had a great time at our annual Trunk or Treat event! We appreciate all of our families who supported our event.

Congratulations to our top three fundraisers for our Volleyball Serve-a-thon! We raised $3,201 which went towards DPL volleyball fees for our team and also a new volleyball net. We are truly grateful to all of our sponsors who support our athletics program and especially our Booster Club members.

Our students teamed up against drugs today and wore their favorite sports team shirts.

We kicked off Red Ribbon Week at JLCCS by dresming big and staying drug free with pajama day!

JLCCS celebrated their 50th day of school last week and students dressed up like it was the 1950's.

Our fourth and fifth grade students were able to go on a field trip with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) this week. Students were able to go on-site to the large-scale wetlands water reuse project near Richland-Chambers Lake. The wetlands project treats water from the Trinity River to supplement TRWD's water supply, while TPWD manages the surrounding property for recreation and wildlife habitat. This project diverts water from the Trinity River into a 2,022-acre constructed wetland to naturally filter it. The polished water is then pumped into Richland-Chambers Reservoir to provide a supplementary raw water supply.
This allows TRWD to extend water resources for a growing population, while the wetlands provide flood control and enhance wildlife habitat. Our students loved being able to investigate the water samples to learn more about the organisms living in the wetlands.

Our 1st graders had the sweetest lesson!
After reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, our students rolled up their sleeves and baked their own delicious cookies. Learning is even better when it smells like freshly baked treats!

We’re headed to the playoffs! Our JV volleyball team has worked hard, played with heart, and trusted in God every step of the way. Our runners gave it their all at our last cross country meet! We’re so proud of their dedication, perseverance, and team spirit. Every stride was a reflection of their hard work and faith. “Let us run with perseverance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus.” — Hebrews 12:1–2
