The Commemorative Air Force Coyote Squadron blessed our school once again! Colonel TJ Brown and Colonel Thomas Cozart brought the squadron's 1953 M37 Ambulance from the Korean War to campus for the JLCCS U.S. Military History Club meeting this week. During the meeting, students played a military history trivia game and then went out to the ambulance to learn about how the military would have utilized it in Korea. We truly appreciate the willingness of our Coyote Squadron to support our students especially when we know they are busy preparing to host the 24th Annual Corsicana Airsho this Saturday at the Corsicana Municipal Airport.

At our last 4H meeting, our students made desserts and practiced presenting for the upcoming county Food Show and Food Challenge. 4H is the largest youth development program in Texas and offers our students a variety of leadership opportunities.

Our JLCCS cross country team is gearing up for their first meet on October 7th. We wish them the best of luck as they continue to train.

Pirate Day was a success! Our preschool teachers (Mrs. Smith & Mrs. Kuchler) held a swash buckling good time for our students this week. They took the kids on a treasure hunt, learned about buoyancy as they tried out the boats they made, and participated in pirate games to build their crew.

Mrs. Anguiano meets weekly with our guitar club to teach students at JLCCS how to play. Students in kindergarten to 8th grade are invited to join guitar club.

We had a blast at our last Art Club meeting. Students at JLCCS are able to participate in a variety of afterschool clubs.

Our intermediate students love getting to play board games while they spend time in fellowship with each other.

We had a fantastic turn out at our first Little Flowers Girls' Club meeting. Our girls focused on the virtue of Eutrapelia (which means wittiness and pleasantness). During the meeting they learned this Bible verse from I Corinthians 10:31, "So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God." Then they painted dandelions, which is the flower for this month's virtue.

Such a perfect day for D.E.A.R. time in 3rd grade (Drop Everything And
Read)…70 degrees and rainy!

These preschool students are fully engaged everyday in Mrs. Kuchler's class. Check out these photos of students learning about cooperation with the waffle blocks, focusing on art as they paint ice cubes, and sharing with others as they play with the ice cream scoops.

We had a fantastic kick-off for our Annual Campaign! Our students and their parents came out to speak and volunteer at mass this weekend. Tuition and fees cover 42% of the school’s annual operating expenses. Our Collins Trust covers 32%. For the remaining 26% we host fundraisers throughout the year, including our Annual Campaign. We love Collins Catholic and we want it to be here, as a beacon of light, in our community for another 68 years. Consider partnering with us and donate today! You can text "GAP" to 903-602-3113
Thank you for helping us develop Saints & Scholars at JLCCCS!

When the temperatures outside are too hot, our students love recess indoors.

We love cupcakes at lunchtime!!!

Our fourth grade students learned how to set up and run the 3D printer in Mrs. Standlee's class. Next, our students will begin designing an item to print and then they will watch their designs come to life.

Our preschool students planted flowers in celebration of the blessed Virgin Mary's birthday.

Our 8th grade students transferred their 2D designs for the Collins Catholic School of the future into 3D images using TinkerCAD. We love our SmartLab!!!

Our students love library time! With over 13,000 books on campus, our students always find a book to read.
