We are grateful to have Mrs. Whiteside at our helm this year to carry out the mission of our school. Our students presented her with their original artwork at our school Mass. "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." - Psalm 1:3

Special thanks to Father Steve from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for coming to the school on Monday and blessing our students throats to prevent illness on the Feast of St. Blaise.

It was such a blessing to have these alum on campus for our annual Battle of the Hallway basketball game!

It was such a blessing to have former faculty and staff members on campus on Friday for a reunion. We did not take photos of everyone who came back, but these individuals have made such a difference in the lives of our students. To all of our former faculty and staff members throughout the last 70 years - Thank You!!!!

Our school is blessed to have the support of Father Juan Carlos and Father Steve from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Congratulations to our students who placed in the Diocesan CSW Art Contest. Woody placed first out of the first and second grade division. Caraline placed second and Becky received honorable mention in the third and fourth grade division. Angelia placed first in the fifth and sixth grade division. We are proud of these artists!

Our sixth grade students stopped by the front office at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church to drop off some treats to an amazing staff that supports our school.

Special thanks to Legacy Rehabilitation and Healthcare for letting our second grade students visit your residents and pass out handmade Valentine's Day cards. We loved being able to sing and visit.

National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. CSW runs from the last Sunday in January through the following Saturday. Our students have been celebrating all week!

Congratulations to Mrs. Arnold for being named the JLCCS Educator of the Year! We are so blessed to have her on our team.

Our students love giving back to our community. Today, our fourth through sixth grade students volunteered at the Salvation Army. They were able to help sort donations, work in the food pantry, and volunteer in the store.

It was such a blessing to kick off our Catholic Schools' Week with Mike Fletcher, the Mayor of Corsicana. In addition to the proclamation that he gave for Catholic Schools' Week, he handed out to our eighth grade students their leadership sweatshirts.

These students received their sacrament of Reconciliation with Father Steve at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

"Then he says, “Behold, I come to do your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second." - Hebrews 10:9

At our last U.S. Military History Club meeting, our students learned about the Revolutionary War. Afterwards, while discussing the importance of the U.S. Constitution, they drafted their own constitutions for how they would re-govern the school. Afterwards, they signed their constitutions by trying to write with a calligraphy pen and an inkwell.

These 4-H club members braved the cold on Monday to attend the Navarro County consumer decision-making contest. Congratulations to Matthew for his team winning first place in the clover division. Congratulations to Benjamin and Levi for their team winning first place in the intermediate division. All of these students are eligible to compete at the District competition in April.

We are blessed to be able to offer the Little Flowers Girls' Club and the Blue Knights Boys' Club for our students. Both of these clubs strived to weave faith, fun, and friendships into each meeting. As these children focus on virtues and grow in their faith, we are grateful that both of these groups are thriving!

Special thanks to the Navarro Council of the Arts for hosting the students of James L. Collins Catholic School at the recent performance of ARTrageous!

These 4H officers did a great job leading their last meeting where we discussed upcoming competitions. Our members really appreciated Graycie Montfort's online fashion contest presentation that helped to explain all of the competitions. We also loved having Miss Goolsby from Navarro County 4H at our meeting too.

Our garden club was able to plant seeds at their last meeting. Special thanks to Mr. Overton and Mrs. Garrison for their leadership with this afterschool club.
