James L. Collins Catholic School is blessed to have its very own SmartLab Innovation Center on our campus. Our SmartLab is a fully integrated learning environment where everything from the furniture and technology focuses on the STEM curriculum. The four core elements of STEM include SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, and MATH, and are used together to support hands-on, minds-on learning as well as help prepare our students for college and careers in their future. It’s a place where personalized learning and intrinsic motivation engage students of all ages, interests, and abilities.
These kids are ready for recess!

Our Kindergarten students loved playing "Toss to the Target" with a partner during PE. They worked on taking turns and getting the bean bags in the 3 hoops. Meanwhile, our 2nd - 8th grade students played "Hula Hut Throw Down"!

We are so proud of our James L. Collins Catholic School students who faithfully serve as altar servers at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church throughout the school year. Their dedication to serving at funeral Masses is a beautiful witness of faith, reverence, and compassion for our parish community.
This week, our students also had the special honor of serving alongside Bishop John Gregory Kelly of the Diocese of Tyler, a memorable experience that deepened their love for Christ and His Church.
Please join us in praying for our altar servers as they continue to grow in discipleship, virtuous living, and servant leadership!

We have a matching grant opportunity and we need your assistance. A local foundation has blessed our school by announcing that they will donate $2,500, if we can raise $2,500 to go towards completing our multi-purpose court project. We need your help to get this grant! If you are available to donate any amount, please give online at: https://factsmgtadmin.com/give/appeal/XkKTkFyER

We are grateful to our community for providing our students community service opportunities. This week, some of our eighth grade students were able to participate with Catholic Charities and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with their food pantry ministry.

It was Teamwork Tuesday in PE! Our 2nd through 8th grade students played "Cross the River" and they discussed the 3 Cs of Teamwork: Communication, Cooperation, and Collaboration.

These students always enjoy Mrs. Huerta's art class!

It's hot outside, but our cross country team began their season today. Special thanks to Coach Nelson for leading our team and JLCCS alum, Gabe, for coming out to assist.
