JLCCS Parents - As we get closer to our school year beginning, consider being a sponsor for one of our afterschool club. Each club must have two advisors. Clubs can meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Our clubs meet from 3:30pm to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. We have been blessed by the talents of our parents and have been able to offer a variety of clubs throughout the year including Military History, Pokemon, Star Wars, Chess, Cheer Club, Blue Knights Boys Club, Harry Potter Club, Flag Football, Garden Club, and more.

Another fantastic day at our Little Flower Girls' retreat. The girls made mosaics of the dancing sun, continued their cross stitching, made necklaces, and learned about Fatima.

We had a wonderful time on the first day of our Little Flower Girls’ Club summer retreat! The girls created prayer journals, learned to cross stitch, attended Mass, and focused on using their gifts to serve the Lord.

Our school community gets to come together in so many ways. We love our regular pep rallies that we host to support our athletic teams. Our cheer club does an outstanding job performing dances, cheering, and raising school spirit. Additionally, we love to recognize each student athlete and coach. One more part of our pep rally is the fun competition or game that our classes participate in. We have built snowmen, played human hungry hippo, musical chairs, and more. In May, we had a tricycle race and even Mrs. Alvarado competed.

"Instruct the wise, and they become still wiser; teach the just, and they advance in learning. The beginning of wisdom is fear of the LORD, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." - Proverbs 9:9-10

At our last Little Flowers Girls' Club in May, these girls put together their scrapbooks for the year. Throughout each month as they work on learning about a new virtue and receive a flower petal patch for that virtue, they also make a scrapbook page. The page has information about that virtue with pictures, quotes, and Bible verses. At the end of the year, these girls had fun putting it all together as a keepsake. Additionally, the girls themselves took photos at this meeting and we are posting their photos.

We are blessed to have Mr. Arnold back on staff this coming year as our STEM SmartLab & IT Coordinator. Mr. Arnold just got back in town from the Annual STEM SmartLab conference and he cannot wait to implement all that he has learned into our classes. Mr. Arnold has been coordinating our technology on campus this past year and has also been a coach for our basketball and golf teams.
