Our JLCCS cross country team is gearing up for their first meet on October 7th. We wish them the best of luck as they continue to train.

Pirate Day was a success! Our preschool teachers (Mrs. Smith & Mrs. Kuchler) held a swash buckling good time for our students this week. They took the kids on a treasure hunt, learned about buoyancy as they tried out the boats they made, and participated in pirate games to build their crew.

We had a blast at our last Art Club meeting. Students at JLCCS are able to participate in a variety of afterschool clubs.

Our intermediate students love getting to play board games while they spend time in fellowship with each other.

We had a fantastic turn out at our first Little Flowers Girls' Club meeting. Our girls focused on the virtue of Eutrapelia (which means wittiness and pleasantness). During the meeting they learned this Bible verse from I Corinthians 10:31, "So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God." Then they painted dandelions, which is the flower for this month's virtue.

Such a perfect day for D.E.A.R. time in 3rd grade (Drop Everything And
Read)…70 degrees and rainy!

These preschool students are fully engaged everyday in Mrs. Kuchler's class. Check out these photos of students learning about cooperation with the waffle blocks, focusing on art as they paint ice cubes, and sharing with others as they play with the ice cream scoops.

We had a fantastic kick-off for our Annual Campaign! Our students and their parents came out to speak and volunteer at mass this weekend. Tuition and fees cover 42% of the school’s annual operating expenses. Our Collins Trust covers 32%. For the remaining 26% we host fundraisers throughout the year, including our Annual Campaign. We love Collins Catholic and we want it to be here, as a beacon of light, in our community for another 68 years. Consider partnering with us and donate today! You can text "GAP" to 903-602-3113
Thank you for helping us develop Saints & Scholars at JLCCCS!
