Spanish Curriculum
A new Spanish curriculum was introduced in 2023 for our students in Preschool through eighth grade. Our Spanish curriculum is designed to integrate a more natural way of learning a second language. The goal is to ensure students acquire the second language similar to the way they learn their first language. In grades Pre-K through third we teach language through gestures, songs, stories and games. In grades fourth through eighth, we focus on integrating a variety of learning activities in which students start writing and reading original texts. The goal is that by the end of eighth grade students are able to have guided conversations, read stories and write meaningful paragraphs.
