JLCCS families - don’t forget about our Tip Top Holiday Shop that opens on Monday. Students were given envelopes to bring home on Friday and they are welcome to come shop the store this week to get holiday gifts for any friends or family members. This event is sponsored by PTC.

Congratulations to the Cooking Cowgirls for bringing home 1st place in the Junior division—what an incredible accomplishment!

Huge shout-out to the InstaCooks, earning 3rd place in the Intermediate division, showcasing teamwork, creativity, and skill.

And we are thrilled to celebrate Ava, who placed 3rd in Intermediate Food Show with her delicious dish—way to shine!

Our middle school students spent a peaceful morning at the cemetery, praying for the souls of the faithful departed. Their reverence and compassion were a beautiful witness to the importance of remembering and honoring those who have gone before us. “But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them.” — Wisdom 3:1 We are grateful for the opportunity to help our students live out their faith with love, prayer, and hope.

Our 6th graders put STEM skills into action in World History. While learning about Ancient Greece, students were challenged to design and build their own catapults using only the materials provided—and a limited amount of time. They worked collaboratively, engineered creative designs, and put their inventions to the test to see whose catapult could launch the furthest. A perfect blend of history, problem-solving, and hands-on learning!

We are so incredibly thankful for our amazing school community! 💛🦃 Thanks to your generosity, our annual Turkey Trot raised over $1,000 to provide Christmas gifts for children in foster care. Your support truly makes a difference and brings joy where it’s needed most this season. 🎁✨ We also loved wrapping up the event with our Faculty/Staff vs. Volleyball Team game—it was full of energy, laughter, and school spirit! 🏐💥 Thank you for showing what kindness and community look like. We are blessed to have each one of you! 🙌💙

Our athletes had the amazing opportunity to serve as Anthem Buddies for the Baylor University volleyball team during their home game against Utah!

Our students had the best time meeting the players, visiting with the head coach, cheering on the Bears, watching an exciting match, and—big highlight—being shown on ESPN! 📣✨

Our golf team has loved practicing at The Oaks Golf Course after school. We are grateful for this partnership as we teach the next generation of golfers.

Our fourth grade students had the best time at the Navarro County AgriLife Extension Office's Food and Fiber Round Up. The "Food and Fiber Roundup" is an annual event in places like Navarro County, that teaches local fourth-graders about agriculture.

Students learn where food and fiber products originate through various demonstration stations, which have included topics like beef production, cotton farming, and how pizza ingredients are grown.

These events aim to connect students with local farmers, ranchers, and business leaders to educate them about the food supply chain.
