⚽ Futsal
🏃 Track
⛳ Golf

We are seeking local businesses, families, and individuals who want to invest in our students by becoming Booster Club sponsors. Sponsorships help offset costs for uniforms, athletic fees, equipment, and other program needs that provide our athletes with the best possible experience.

Our kindergarten students learned about the life cycle of plants while discovering the beauty of God's creation! As part of their lesson, they planted bean seeds and were excited to watch them grow from tiny seeds into thriving plants.

Hands-on learning helps our students see firsthand the wonder of how God created all living things with purpose and care. We could not wait to see their beans grow and watch as they continued to learn about the amazing world God has given us!

A heartfelt thank you to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (Corsicana CDA) for their generous "Bags of Blessings" filled with food and special treats for our students! Because of your kindness and support, we were able to send these thoughtful gifts home with some of our students for the summer.

Your generosity is a beautiful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Thank you for helping us bless our students and their families and for showing them they are loved and supported beyond the classroom.

Our students read an incredible 26,228,000+ words through the Accelerated Reader program last school year! What an amazing accomplishment and a true reflection of their hard work, dedication, and love of learning.

The Accelerated Reader (AR) program encourages students to grow as readers by allowing them to choose books at their reading level, take comprehension quizzes, and track their progress throughout the year. AR helps build reading confidence, strengthen comprehension skills, and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Every page turned, every chapter completed, and every quiz passed added up to this incredible milestone. We are so proud of our students and grateful for the support of our teachers and families who help inspire a passion for reading every day.

Using creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering skills in our STEM Lab, these students have taken on an exciting challenge: building a Ferris wheel! Through hands-on learning, they are applying real-world STEM concepts while discovering that innovation happens when you aren’t afraid to dream big. One of their goals is to find the perfect spot on campus for their Ferris wheel by the end of their 8th grade year. We can’t wait to watch this project grow and see where their imagination and determination take them! We are so grateful to have a STEM Lab on campus, giving our students opportunities to explore, create, experiment, and develop the critical thinking skills that will serve them well into the future. Way to go, girls! We are excited to follow your journey!

One of the greatest blessings of a James L. Collins Catholic School education is the lifelong friendships that are formed along the way. From Pre-K through 8th grade, our students learn, pray, serve, and grow together, creating bonds rooted in faith, kindness, and shared experiences.

These friendships extend far beyond the classroom walls, becoming a source of encouragement and support throughout life's journey. We are grateful for a school community where students not only gain knowledge but also build meaningful relationships that last a lifetime.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." — Proverbs 27:17

May God continue to bless the friendships formed at JLCCS and guide our students as they grow together in faith, wisdom, and love.

As our graduates prepare to begin the next chapter of their educational journey, we ask God to bless each of them as they enter high school this fall. May He guide their steps, strengthen their faith, and fill them with courage, wisdom, and confidence as they pursue their dreams and continue growing as disciples of Christ.

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished during their years at James L. Collins Catholic School, and are excited to see the impact they will make in their high schools, communities, and beyond.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to their families for trusting us with your children's education, faith formation, and personal growth. It has been a blessing to partner with you in helping shape these young men and women into lifelong learners, servant leaders, and faithful followers of Christ.

Class of 2026, you will always be part of the JLCCS family. We are praying for you and cheering you on every step of the way!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our Garden Club's End-of-Year Plant Sale. Your generosity and encouragement helped make the event a wonderful success!

Thanks to the proceeds from the sale, we will be purchasing new raised garden beds to enhance our outdoor learning spaces and provide even more opportunities for students to explore gardening, science, and stewardship of God's creation.

We are also excited to share that James L. Collins Catholic School will be purchasing a greenhouse through the Burns & McDonnell STEM Grant for the school. This greenhouse would provide hands-on learning experiences for our students while supporting STEM education and environmental stewardship on our campus.

If you are a community member with experience, resources, or an interest in helping with our greenhouse or raised bed projects, we would love to hear from you! Please contact our Principal, Mrs. Whiteside, at the school to learn how you can get involved.

Thank you for helping us grow opportunities for our students—one plant at a time!

Congratulations to Miriam and Madeleine on earning Second Place in the Pens to Lens Contest! Their award was presented during a special ceremony at the Warehouse Living Arts Center, celebrating the creativity and storytelling talents of young writers.

Miriam and Madeleine wrote an inspiring script about two singer-songwriters pursuing their dreams and finding success through perseverance and friendship. Their creative work came to life during the event through a table read, where several of their classmates joined them in performing the script and bringing the characters to the stage.
We are so proud of Miriam and Madeleine for this outstanding achievement and grateful to their classmates for supporting them during this special experience. Congratulations on representing James L. Collins Catholic School with such creativity, teamwork, and excellence!
