Job Opportunities
The Advancement Team Specialist fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by operating the school administrative office in a smooth and efficient manner, performing various personnel management functions, managing accounting, enrollment and student records, and providing assistance to the Principal and various school staff. The Advancement Team Specialist has high-impact decision making responsibilities within the scope of the job and in keeping with school policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
Abide by all policies and procedures of the school and Diocese as outlined in the Catholic Schools Office Handbook of Policies and Procedures for Elementary and Secondary Schools
Understands, accepts, and abides by the school’s philosophy and mission statement in all his/her school activities
Consistently exhibits high standards of professional conduct
Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format
Specific Areas of Oversight:
Enrollment & FACTS Management
Grant & Aid database
HR Support including manage payroll tasks and employees in ExponentHR
Business Management including financial record keeping
Office Management
Assist Principal with implementation of campus crisis management plan and school safety tasks including drills and ensuring employees complete all required safety training
Monitoring cameras and doors daily
Distribute and maintain up-to-date records of building keycards
Other duties as assigned by the Principal
Position Requirements
Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
Basic clerical skills and knowledge of office practices and procedures that involve the operation of job appropriate technology that can be learned on the job within several months
Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form in accordance with applicable school system policies and procedures
Must exhibit a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
Team player able to prioritize and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced work environment
Able to work well with others in the school community
Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format
Skill in critical thinking and planning
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, required
2 years’ experience as a receptionist or related field, required Special Requirements
Obtain certification for CPR/AED
Practicing Catholic in good standing, preferred
Bilingual, preferred Physical Requirements Specific to the Job
Required to lift or carry equipment and supplies to a minimum of 35 pounds
Required to work in various weather conditions
