Catholic School Week: January 29th - February 5th

Monday 1/30: Moving & Grooving Monday - We will begin our day by gathering in the gym at 945am for a diocesan-wide celebration, followed by the mayor of Corsicana, Don Denbow, delivering a Proclamation for Catholic Schools Week and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Kindergarten and 1st grade will be going to the public library to help clean and straighten books.

Tuesday 1/31: JLCCS: We Take Our Hats Off for Others - All students may wear an appropriate hat or cap with their uniform.  All week, PK will collect gently used & clean stuffed animals for the Corsicana Police Department and 3rd grade will collect items for the Corsicana Animal Shelter which will be delivered the following week. And, 4th & 5th grade will be collecting items for the Women’s House of Refuge as well as serving at The Salvation Army where they will be joined by 6th-8th grade.

Wednesday 2/1: JLCCS: Our Students are the Spirit of the School - Wear a JLCCS spirit shirt and jeans. Students will enjoy a tasty treat!  

Thursday 2/2: JLCCS: Our Students Honor Those Who Serve God - Students will have a chance to thank Father Juan Carlos and parishioners for all they do to support our school. Second grade will give their Love Presentation at Heritage Oaks West.

Friday 2/3: Catholic Schools are a SLAM DUNK! - Wear a spirit shirt and jeans.   We will celebrate our annual tradition - the Battle of the Hallway Basketball tournament between 7th and 8th grade beginning at 130 pm in the gym! The Navarro College Basketball team will assist student players during the game.

Saturday 2/4 and Sunday 2/5: Students will be at all weekend Masses to pass out thank you cards made earlier in the week. Students and parents serve at ICC hospitality following the 8am, 930am, and 1130am Masses.  If your child attends Mass at our church this weekend, PLEASE ensure he/she dresses in the Mass uniform to show their support for Catholic Schools Week!
